Maggie’s Centre
Maggie’s offers free support to people living with cancer and their families to ensure they do not “lose the joy of living in the fear of dying”. The charity provides practical advice about benefits and eating well, emotional support from qualified experts or simply a friendly place to meet other people. The VINCI’s grant will enable the charity to develop an Outreach Centre in the Forest of Dean so that always more people would be able to benefit from Maggie’s programme of support.
Funding provided by the Foundation: £7,440.
VINCI Sponsor: Karen Birt, Actemium UK, will help with the administration behind the Outreach Centre.
