Chuckle Productions

Stone-based charity Chuckle Productions has been awarded £7,619 by the VINCI UK Foundation to help refurbish the facilities at its new premises.

The Foundation is supported by Midlands-based Actemium UK, part of the VINCI Energies group; the Actemium Sponsor will volunteer his time to help manage the project.

Chuckle Productions requested support from the VINCI UK Foundation to help secure a “fit for purpose” heating and comfort cooling system for the Chuckle House, the charity’s base of operations. The Chuckle House serves as a teaching centre for children and young adults with special needs, providing a source of group interaction and mental & physical stimulation through creative expression. Chris Hutchinson, a Director at Actemium UK, will use his project management and health & safety expertise to support the charity in completing the work.

The VINCI UK Foundation, funded by VINCI businesses across the UK, supports groups and charities which work to tackle exclusion, foster community integration and improve access to employment and housing. Launched in early 2016, the Foundation is unique in its support for good causes due to its specific focus and provision of skilled volunteers.

Sara Christie, Director, Chuckle Productions, said:

“The upgrades to the Chuckle House will help us to support the vulnerable people that use our services, so that we can better help them to develop and grow.

“Financial support from the VINCI UK Foundation, as well as the time volunteered by our Actemium project Sponsor, will be invaluable in helping us to deliver a safe and welcoming space.”

Through the Foundation, all VINCI’s employees, from apprentices to senior management, can use their experience and skills to benefit their local communities.
