Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has been awarded £15,495 by the VINCI UK Foundation to purchase a mobility car to bring the families to and from the Hospice.
The Foundation is supported by Eurovia, part of the VINCI Energies group; the Eurovia Sponsor will volunteer through her participation in events to raise money for the charity throughout the year.
Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice requested support from the VINCI UK Foundation to purchase a new vehicle to provide a full range of services to all families who need our support, regardless of their location. Cheryl Freeman, a finance and admin manager, will act as the charity’s project Sponsor and will help by using volunteer days and help with fundraising events, helping with landscape, getting other members of staff involved by being involved in all other additional fundraising events that are hold, volunteering at fundraisers and sponsorship events.
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, they care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. They are supporting around 250 families, both in the hospice and in family homes. In just one year, Bluebell Wood provides more than 50,000 of hours of care. The services are always developing to meet the needs of our families.Short breaks, respite, end of life treatment and care, emergency admissions, counselling, home visits and activity therapy sessions are just a few of the many wide ranging services which Bluebell Wood provides. We support the whole family whether their life journey is hours, days, weeks or months.
The VINCI UK Foundation, funded by VINCI businesses across the UK, supports groups and charities which work to tackle exclusion, foster community integration and improve access to employment and housing. Launched in early 2016, the Foundation is unique in its support for good causes due to its specific focus and provision of skilled volunteers.
Through the Foundation, all VINCI’s employees, from apprentices to senior management, can use their experience and skills to benefit their local communities.
