St Rocco’s Hospice has been awarded £3,000 by the VINCI UK Foundation to purchase art craft supplies to continuing the RocON project.
The Foundation is supported by Eurovia, part of the VINCI Energies group; the Eurovia Sponsor will volunteer through her participation and help to find funding.
St Rocco’s Hospice requested support from the VINCI UK Foundation to purchase art craft supplies to purchase art craft supplies and continuing the RocON project. RocON is a community initiative which brings children and young people in to the hospice environment, to work on craft based projects alongside patients, carers and the bereaved. Julie Cartwright, a Public Liaison Officer, will act as the charity’s project Sponsor and will be involved in the organisation by raising money for the charity.
St. Rocco’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist care and support to patients and families living with a terminal or life threatening illnesses. The Hospice has a 10 bedded in-patient unit, Vitality Centre for day patients and a hospice at home service.
The VINCI UK Foundation, funded by VINCI businesses across the UK, supports groups and charities which work to tackle exclusion, foster community integration and improve access to employment and housing. Launched in early 2016, the Foundation is unique in its support for good causes due to its specific focus and provision of skilled volunteers.
Through the Foundation, all VINCI’s employees, from apprentices to senior management, can use their experience and skills to benefit their local communities.
