Blue Apple Veterans
Blue Apple Veterans
Blue Apple Veterans has been awarded £17,493.00 by the VINCI UK Foundation to extend its reach to more veterans than they currently help with a minibus.
The Foundation is supported by Nuvia, part of the VINCI Energies group; the Nuvia Sponsors will support on marketing support and provide project management support.
Kris Bradshaw, Business Development Director, will lead on marketing support as Paul Gilmour, Project Management Office Director, will provide project management support to enable the charity to more effectively co-ordinate its activities to access grants and increase its commercial income.
Blue Apple Veterans requested support from the VINCI UK Foundation Financial support for a nearly-new minibus. This would help increase the radius of the Charity’s reach and therefore the number of people that can be helped. Many veterans with PTSD struggle to be around people or in busy environments, which can make it difficult for them to travel to Blue Apple’s Coffee Shop and Garden Centre.
The Blue Apple Veterans charity offers support to socially excluded military veterans suffering from a variety of issues including mental illness (e.g. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)), physical disability, marital difficulties, worklessness and homelessness.
The VINCI UK Foundation, funded by VINCI businesses across the UK, supports groups and charities which work to tackle exclusion, foster community integration and improve access to employment and housing. Launched in early 2016, the Foundation is unique in its support for good causes due to its specific focus and provision of skilled volunteers.
Through the Foundation, all VINCI’s employees, from apprentices to senior management, can use their experience and skills to benefit their local communities.
