Sebastian’s Action Trust
A new van for a better support
Sebastian’s Action Trust provides support to families of seriously ill and life-limited children, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond, after the loss.
They opened in 2011 “The Bluebells“, a respite holiday home specifically designed for families with seriously ill children. It allows them to enjoy precious time together, and for the children to have fun playing as everyday children should. In 2014 they added to this “The Hub“, a drop-in centre where families can come for daily advice and support on anything from emotional problems to financial aid. Social events are also organised for the families in similar situations to meet, share and feel less isolated.
Funding provided by the VINCI UK Foundation : £15,000.
The charity would like to buy a new, wheelchair accessible van, to insure a safe mode of transport for the families to attend the regular social events and to carry them to the hospital, easing the stress of hospital appointments.
VINCI Sponsor: Jo Pool, administrator, Simplex Westpile.
- Jo will support the charity by globally become a volunteer.
- In particular she will support them by helping organise events for the families.
